Acts of Kindness... A Royal Affair

I am always so amazed at the acts of kindness by many communities.  Helping the homeless, feeding the hungry, organizing food drives, volunteering at assisted living facilities...the list is endless, and the people that volunteer their time, priceless.

Today, I got the pleasure of attending a "Royal Tea Party" held at the Hartland Village Manor Retirement Center in Hartland, Michigan.  It was a festive event celebrating the anticipated arrival of Prince William and Princess Kate's baby.  Beautiful hats and dresses went along with the tea and crumpets that were served at the Royal Tea Party.  Women watched as the smashing "Kate look-alike" opened the baby gifts....wearing their own smashing outfits.  Pink and Blue Dessert Pop (Rattles) completed the scene at this Royal Event.

The event was hosted by Village Manor in conjunction with the Howell Senior Center.  The community was invited and guests encouraged to bring a baby gift.  All proceeds and gifts went to the Pregnancy Help Clinic.
